History
The story of HSI started in 1986. Lau van Nieuwenborg, formerly employed by Gerlach Expedition, saw that there was a great need for arranging transport for horses and started a special project. He saw the opportunity to take over this project in 1991 and to start HSI. The company was established at the Hazenkampweg in Meterik. HSI has an office building, an indoor riding school, an outdoor riding school, a paddock, a treadmill, meadows and pre-export quarantine stables approved by the NVWA.

A large amount of knowledge has been gathered over the years and HSI remains progressive and up to date with regards to new information and projects. By continuing to pursue its own vision, HSI has managed to have and maintain good contact with clients, NVWA, Ministries, Customs, veterinary and other institutions.

HSI offers specialised transports for horses to and from any national, international and intercontinental destination.

Our experienced team at the office, in the stables and at the airport makes sure that everything is well organised.

To transport a horse from one country to another, you end up in a jungle of laws and regulations. HSI can inform you quickly about the correct health certificates, quarantine requirements and customs documentation/formalities.
