HSI can help you import horses into the Netherlands, taking care of all the veterinary and customs-related aspects of the operation. Naturally, the horses must meet EU veterinary stipulations for importation, temporary importation or transit.
By means of our customs licences we can help you get permits for temporary importation, regular importation or transit. Any import duties and sales tax due will be settled through HSI’s current account. Once the customs formalities at the airport have been dealt with, horses may be transported to their new stable at once.
We can also sort out the financial aspects of your VAT registered company’s imports within EU member states. In so doing, we will act as your limited tax agent.
HSI does not just arrange the importation of horses which are flown into the country. In most cases we can also sort out the legal aspects of overland importation of horses from non-EU member states, even after the horses have been taken to their new stables.
