Charter flights   Added: 21-11-2007

HSI possesses both the means and the know-how needed to organise air transport of horses. By chartering an aeroplane (renting an entire plane exclusively for the transportation of horses and equine equipment), HSI frequently flies horses to South America, South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, China, the United States and Cuba.

Our charter flights often come equipped with a ‘different’ kind of stable – the so-called ‘open stable’ or 'collapsible stable', which is constructed on board the aeroplane. During the flight, the horses are in the care of grooms and horse attendants who have sufficient experience and flying hours to ensure the success of the operation.

HSI considers safety and experience of paramount importance. Any persons wishing to accompany horses during a flight must be very familiar with the animals or will be assisted by experienced grooms capable of acting efficiently and professionally during the flight and in case of emergencies.

HSI is proud to have been the first company (in 2006) to fly horses into Cuba and into Trinidad and Tobago. In 2007 HSI organised another 50-horse flight to the islands.
